I started this card yesterday, but needed sleep more than to complete the card. This came together better than I thought it would. I was trying to figure out how to get more color into this card since the only background paper I had was the plain Watermelon Wonder DSP. So I used markers and blender pens to randomly color in some of the flowers. Sounds tedious but went quickly. Without this step, this card would be a snap to make. The instructions in the forum for doing the pleated skirt fold are easy to follow. I used die cuts and punches to make this quick. The only stamping is the greeting. So this card is for this week's Color Challenge (no dessert for me), the TLC challenge to do the pleated skirt fold and this month's Cards for a Cause. We are sending cards to the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, MN. They wanted cards with animals on them. I have these great dies of cats, dogs and bunnies from Obsessive Impression and will be doing a number of cards with them. Join a challenge and join the fun!
EDIT: I reread the CAS challenge for this week and realized that the card with the heart was supposed to be a valentine. Since this is not for that special holiday, I removed it from that challenge gallery. I will try again later if I have time.

Very pretty card, Kathy! I love the additional touch you added to the flowers on the DSP. It really brings the DSP up a notch. Your heart and the cat are cute and I love the addition of sequins. Kudos to you for sending cards to the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, MN!
